Match Rules & Format

Fearless Padel Festival Vol.1 — 14–16 August 2026, Athletiqs Airdome Jakarta.

Match Day Procedure

  • Re-register at the registration desk by showing your ID card to the organisers.
  • Check in at the Tournament Desk 20 minutes before your match time.
  • If your match time starts and you have not checked in, Calls 1 to 3 will be made with a 3-minute gap between each call. If you are still absent afterwards, a Walkover win is awarded to your opponent.
  • The match order and format may be changed by the organisers on match day if conditions require it.
  • Wear appropriate sportswear and always keep a shirt on while playing.
  • If an issue occurs, the player receiving the ball has the right to make the call; problems can be reported to the Tournament Desk/Umpire/Referee.
  • The closing ceremony and prize giving takes place after all matches are finished, and all winners must receive their prizes in person for documentation.

Match Rules

  • Matches follow the inside game rules.
  • Warm-up is limited to 3 minutes only.
  • On a Golden Point, the receiving team decides who will return the serve.
  • Sides are changed on odd game scores with a 90-second rest.
  • Teams must play as listed in the player list. Player substitution is not allowed; any player difference results in disqualification.
  • Coaching participants is not allowed.
  • Only the players on court may dispute a fault or an in/out call.
  • Any action causing discomfort to participants, verbal or physical, is prohibited — this applies to spectators and participants alike.
  • Spectators are NOT allowed to cheer while a GAME is in play.
  • In case of a RETIRED match, the score is recorded as an absolute win (4-0 / 6-0 / 6-0, 6-0).
  • Before a match starts, the Referee/Umpire may re-check participants' ID cards.
  • From the group stage through the semifinals (1 set), toilet breaks are not allowed except within the 90-second change-of-ends rest.
  • In case of an accident or injury, the player pair must report to the Referee immediately; the Referee will check and call Medical.
  • Injury handling follows PBPI rules. Cramp is not considered an injury.
  • Injuries involving bleeding must be treated immediately; the Referee decides whether the participant may continue.
  • Apart from medical staff, referees, and umpires, no one is allowed to enter the court.
  • All match rules refer to the PBPI Rulebook 2026.

Determining Group Winner and Runner Up

  • Highest number of match wins.
  • If wins are equal, the best game percentage decides.
  • If the percentage is also equal, a Tie-break (first to 7) is played.

Drawing Method

  • There are no seeded teams; the draw is distributed evenly across the groups.
  • The first drawn team is placed in group A slot 1, the second in group B slot 1, the third in group C slot 1, and so on until the last group, then back to group A slot 2.
  • Amateur category matches within a group use the same ball.
  • Open and Youth category matches use a new ball for every match.

Men's Open & Women's Open

  • Knockout format.
  • Best of 3 sets, Star Point.

Youth U14 Boys & U16 Boys

  • Knockout format.
  • Matches are played as full sets.
  • Star Point rule applies.
  • Final set is a Super tie-break.

Silver Open, Bronze Men, Bronze Women & Celebrity

  • Group Stage (Round Robin), Round 32, Round 16, Quarter Final, Semi Final: race to 6 games, 5-5 tie break (first to 7), Golden Point.
  • Final: best of 3 sets with Star Point, final set Super tie-break.

Men Upper Beginner, Mix Upper Beginner, Women Beginner & Women Lower Bronze

  • Group Stage (Round Robin), Round 32, Round 16, Quarter Final, Semi Final: race to 4 games, 3-3 tie break (first to 7), Golden Point.
  • Final: race to 6 games, 5-5 tie break (first to 7), Golden Point.
